Photography | Hampton Court Flower Show

Hello,

I recently spent the day at the Hampton Court Flower show as my parents were exhibiting their new company. I love browsing all the stalls, looking at the flowers and tasting the food in the food tents.
I obviously brought my camera and took lots of pretty photos.
I hope you like them.

Beauty | Everyday Routine

Rather than make a 'Get Ready With Me'-esque video, I thought I would do a photo journal, documenting each stage of my make-up routine. This was make-up for a BBQ, so quite chilled, not too heavy, but a nice amount of coverage.

STEP ONE

I always start by removing any excess make-up with a liquid make-up remover or wipes.
I then always put a bit of moisturiser on. At the moment I am using a 'Simple' Face Moisturiser.

STEP TWO

I always like to remove a few excess eyebrows, particularly if I am going to pencil in my brows.
No matter how good your make-up is, if you have overgrown brows (unintentionally so), you won't look as good!

STEP THREE

Now for the base layer. I use MAC foundation. I alternate between two different shade, depending on how tanned I am. I use NW20 and NW15.
I also go over any stubborn sports and marks with some concealer. I use the new Benefit 'Fake-Up' in the lightest shade. This is also good for under the eyes.

STEP FOUR

I like to powder after my foundation, as well as at the end of my make-up routine.
I also use this opportunity to do some light contouring with a MAC bronze/ blush.

STEP FIVE

I then buff a subtle bronze colour all over my face, focusing in particular on the nose, and forehead (where the sun naturally hits). I then pull a cheesy grin and apply blush to my cheeks.

STEP SIX

Brow time. Photo on left shows me with just one eyebrow done - makes a huge difference.
As I was trying to keep my make-up fairly casual I just applied a light shade of eyeshadow. This just helps brighten the eye area.

STEP SEVEN

HIGHLIGHT. I like to apply highlighter under my brow. It gives your whole face a lift. I also apply it across the cheekbone. I mainly use Benefit's 'High Beam'. It's long-lasting and is in such super cute packaging.

STEP EIGHT

Time for eye-liner. At the moment I am trying out the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner. I find it goes on really well, but it does start to smudge after a while.

STEP NINE

Time for the final touches: mascara and lipstick.
I am using the Maybeline 'The Colossal' mascara. I am often complimented on my eyelashes: I'd definitely recommend this mascara.
I'm using the Sharon Osbourne for MAC lipstick. The colours are just fabulous.

Fashion | I'm feeling blue Topshop

Hello,

I thought I would do a brand focus blog.
I am loving Topshop at the moment, particularly all the BLUE pieces.
I thought I'd gather together all my favourite items together into a sort of look book.

Sometimes it's so difficult to know where to begin when you walk into a packed store, or begin to browse on the internet.
I hope the items I have selected help give you an idea about what's in store at the moment, and some inspiration when it comes to putting pieces together.
There is 2 full outfits here; and the accessories can mix and match together. The earrings go particularly well with the bag and the silver necklace would look great with the shoes.
The plain top would work great with the shorts as they are a busy print. The simplicity of the top allows you to layer necklaces over the top.

Chunky Sole Heels £46

Bleach Floral Mom Shorts £32

Crop Overlay Dress £65

Scoop Neck Vest £18

Disc Earring £6.50

Blue Brood £6

Luggage Bag £34

Sodlite Necklace £12.50

River Blue Sunglasses £16

Haul | H&M

Hello,

So I don't usually do a lot of shopping in H&M; perhaps a couple of pieces each Summer, usually for a holiday. However this year I have found myself in there several times, and have LOVED what's in store.

I have made a haul video, which is in no way showing off, but an opportunity for you to see some of the pieces that I picked up, and a chance to see what's in stores at the moment.

H&M is really great value; I'd say sometimes the prices are similar to Primark (you just have to look carefully to find some bargains). My go to store for Summer is always Topshop, but this year I am working with a tight student budget and I think I have managed to buy at least twice the amount in H&M.

Here is a link to my Haul Video.
Please  like and subscribe if you like it; I am still quite new to Youtube!

Haul | MAC Beauty Haul

Hello,

So I have been really naughty lately and spent lots of pennies in Mac.
I had to pick up some basics (eyeshadows and a brush) but I also fell in love with some of the limited edition items.

MAC have brought out a Maleficent collection and a Kelly/Sharon Osbourne collection.
Both collections are fabulous.
I have previously blogged about the Maleficent collection, so will focus this blog on the Osbourne collection.

I got a lipstick from Kelly's collection and a Patent Polish Lip Pencil from the Sharon collection.
They are both quite similar colours, but I don't have anything similar in my personal collection so I told myself it was ok to get two!

The Kelly lipstick is a matte colour. Of course like all MAC matte lipsticks this stays on really well. It lasted an entire morning, without any re-applications.

The Sharon 'stick' lipstick is more of a pinky colour and has a nice gloss finish. This one is also super moisturising. Again, it lasted for a long time and is just such a great colour for Summer.

To top it all off the packaging is divine. All of Kelly's stuff is a lovely lilac and the Sharon collection is a fabulous red (0f course!).

I also got a MAC 208 brush which is perfect for eyebrows and I updated my duo palette and got a new Charcoal brown, which is the shade I use for my brows.

As I said I bought some items from the Maleficent collection. I got the lipgloss in red, the lipstick in 'True Love's Kiss' and the nail varnish in 'uninvited'.
